Install and use car seats correctly

Choose the right seat
Match seat type (rear-facing, forward, booster) to the child's size and age.
Install securely
Use either LATCH or seat belt, not both; the seat should move less than an inch at the belt path.
Set harness correctly
Harness at or below shoulders for rear-facing, at or above for forward; chest clip at armpit level.
Check regularly
Re-tighten as needed and reassess fit after growth or seat moves.
